P3 FACILITY MANAGER, TORONTO


Our client, a provider of energy efficiency, facility management services and outsourcing solutions for companies and communities that design, develop and manage tailored, smart and sustainable solutions. Due to growth and success, we are looking for a Facility Manager. This is a ‘hands-on’ management position in a Public-Private Partnership (P3) environment to maintain and manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for the a downtown Toronto P3 health facility. This is a strategic and impact role for our client.

 

The Facility Manager is responsible to manage the overall operation of facilities in areas of safety, comfort, productivity, finances and efficiency to the standards of the contract and to the satisfaction of our clients customer 24/7/365 and shall include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:


Responsibilities


• As Facility Manager, you will be accountable for the uninterrupted services to the hospital.

. Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to develop competencies and ensure performance of the project.

• Review work orders to ensure that assignments and delivery are completed satisfactorily.

• Conduct facility inspections and prepare reports.

• Manages vendor relationships and work order and billing procedures.

• Prepares and manages capital projects, operating budgets and variance reports.

• Provides some financial/business analysis including preparation of reports.

• Serve as the on-site manager representing our clients Services and shall supervise and train his employees to ensure compliance with all provisions of the project.

• Produce results as per plans and financial targets through the effective management of employees and resources.

• Implement and monitor a Quality Assurance Program for the Site.

• Participate in the annual planning process providing input to form an acceptable business plan that blends with Engie and contractual objectives.

• Participate in the achievement of the KPIs as they relate to your job and sites.

• Participate in the prevention of accidents and promote a safe working environment.

• Establish performance standards and shall be responsible for the adherence to standard practices and quality specifications for all work performed.

• Establish a program for the acquisition, storage and accountability of all operating materials, tools, and equipment.

• Co-ordinate with the Purchasing Manager on requirements for maintenance materials and equipment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


 

• 10 years of experience of progressive facilities maintenance experience with some experience of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects;

• Strong technical background, ideally in the health care and ability for available for on-call problems;

• Building trade is an asset;

• Management experience;

• High level of customer orientation / understanding;

• Computer literacy and knowledge of computerized maintenance programs (CMMS) a must;

• Commercial and negotiation experience;

• Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents, blueprints, As-Builts and schematics;
