Our client has been active in the development, acquisition, redevelopment and management of over 300 shopping centers, mixed-use and residential developments across Canada and the United States.
Currently, they have over $5 Billion of AUM and own over 35 million square feet of shopping center and mixed-use space in the United States and Canada, including properties under development or predevelopment. They have completed (or is under development on) over 5,500 residential units, with a pipeline of ±8,500 units. They consist of a team of over 275 professionals are located in 13 offices across North America, 6 in Canada and 7 in the United States.
They have raised, sponsored and participated in over $1 Billion of real estate funds and investment vehicles, utilizing investment criteria for core, opportunistic, land development and NNN real estate projects.
We are seeking a self-driven sales professional to fill the position of Vice President, Equities for their Markham office.
The Vice President, Equities, will report to and work closely with President, Equities and the President to establish long-term business relationships with potential investors. The successful candidate would bring a well-established background in capital raising and a network of potential investors to their growing real estate development and acquisition portfolio. This role will be responsible for securing capital from both new and existing sources, with a focus on private high net worth investors and family offices.
The successful candidate will represent our clients well-respected and trusted brand, demonstrating proven track-record and reputation in the industry. With a deep experience in developing capital raising strategies that are aligned with long-term business objectives and goals, the successful candidate is self-driven, highly motivated and excels in an entrepreneurial environment.
An exceptional communicator, you can establish and maintain excellent working relationships with executives, stakeholders, co-workers and clients thanks to your strong interpersonal skills. You have a demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies, prospect potential clients, and the know-how to deliver compelling presentations to high-net-worth clients. A skilled marketing professional, not only can you attract potential clients, but you have the track record and skills to close the deal.
Ideally, you have successfully completed the Exempt Market Proficiency Course Exam or the Canadian Securities Course, however if you are unlicensed, we will work with you to obtain this required designation upon hire. Ideally, you bring over 5 years of related experience to this position. A background in real estate is an asset but not a requirement. This role does require the ability to travel regularly for client meetings and presentations.
