Our client is a 100% Canadian employee-owned civil engineering company.  They provide innovative and economic consulting services to private and public sector clients in Canada and internationally in the fields of civil (municipal) engineering and water resources management for a wide range of community growth related projects.

Due to growth, they have an immediate need for a Flood Plain Analysis to work on various types and stages of land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize computer modeling software to complete hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, erosion and sediment control studies, floodplain mapping analyses, sanitary sewer capacity analyses, etc;

• Manage small team of junior engineers/EITs;

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A University Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in flood plain analysis

• Expert in 1D modeling with HEC-RAS and Geo-Hec-ras

• Expert in Flood plain volume ( cut & fill analysis)

• Experience in 3d-Civil

• Able to lead a team of 2

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

• Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast paced environment.

• Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
