Description

Our client is a 100% Canadian employee-owned civil engineering company.  They provide innovative and economic consulting services to private and public sector clients in Canada and internationally in the fields of civil (municipal) engineering and water resources management for a wide range of community growth related projects.

Reporting to the Manager of the Design Department, the Senior Design Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for leading site plan and subdivision projects, preparing preliminary and final grading plans, preparing servicing design drawings, and providing training to junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Functional Servicing Plans and Reports.

  • Provide preliminary and detailed engineering design.

  • Coordinate with clients and approval agencies.

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to assist them in career development.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.

  • Five years relevant experience as a Design Engineer is an asset.

  • Experience working on subdivisions, site plans, master environmental servicing plans and stormwater management plans.

  • Familiar with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D software.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast paced environment.

  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
